This set of sequential illustrations was inspired by and created to celebrate Brian Selznick's The Marvels as an introduction for the author at an appearance and book-signing BookPeople hosted at the Westlake Performing Arts Center in Austin, TX.

I illustrated the story of a young boy with a magical imagination as a nod to Selnick's story, his own powerful imagination, as well as his soft pencil-shaded style of illustration.
